A gorgeous specimen of dioptase of the highest lustre with excellent translucence, and great classic dioptase colour. In excellent condition, some incomplete crystals around the edges where the specimen was removed from the surrounding rock. Minor plancheite around the edges. Truly a classy piece. Looks fantastic under the display lights.

This is a plate of beautiful sharp, glassy datolite crystals up to 1.2 cm. The crystals are sprinkled with a sparse coating of microscopic datolite, giving sparkle like a morning frost in the fall. Fresh light green colour. In excellent condition – no damage other than a couple of spots near the periphery – inconsequential. […]

This is a great sharp, pale lilac amethyst crystal measuring 4.6 x 2.1 cm on matrix. The crystal has good lustre, is doubly terminated and has no damage. Pretty piece!

An aesthetic group of amethyst crystals with sparkling micro calcites on the matrix. The vertical amethyst crystal measures 4.0 cm tall. The amethysts are in perfect condition. At the back of the left tip of the horizontal crystal there is a small broken quartz crystal, which you see viewing this in 360 degrees. The crystal […]

This is a beautiful pair of pale lilac amethyst crystals, so distinctive, amazing this is naturally occurring like this. The crystal on the right is a sceptred crystal, and the one on the left is doubly terminated and reverse-sceptre (this longer one measures 5.6 cm). They stand perfectly on the matrix at the base, which […]

This is a neat danburite specimen. The danburite crystals are coated on all sides to about half-way-up with calcite crystals, so that the danburites appear to rise out of the calcite. The key feature of this piece is the beautiful colourless parallel growth crystal on the left, with a pair of terminations. This crystal is […]

An elegant crystal of danburite, covered on the backside and edges with calcite crystals. The danburite crystal is glassy, quite clear in its upper portion, and has a beautiful tint of very pale pink. No damage to the danburite. The druzy calcite crystals have damage but this is not relevant to the danburite – they […]

Exceptionally sharp and lustrous danburite with a beautiful termination. All the play of light in the top of the crystal is due to internal fracturing – it is brilliant. There is no damage to the termination of the main crystal (couple of tiny edge chips not at the top, visible with magnification). This main crystal […]

This specimen features two large interlocking datolite crystals, the largest of which is 5.2 cm. The internal colour varies from yellowish-green to a cool-toned pale green, and the lustre on this one is mostly matte, with a few glassy faces as well. Small pyrite crystals and tetrahedrite-coated chalcopyrite crystals occur on, partially submerged and completely […]

This one is a bit different – it features one main datolite, a parallel-growth crystal measuring 3.5 cm. These datolites change colour depending non your light source – in actual daylight (shade) this crystal is an extremely pale ice blue, but under warmer light sources it looks pale green. The crystal is exceptionally sharp and […]

Group of good-sized datolite crystals, the largest of which measures 2.8 cm. Some of the crystal faces have a brilliant glassy lustre and others have a silky finish (not matte or dull). The crystals have some very cool selective coating on certain faces, but it is not on the surface, it is underneath a “top-coat” […]

Beautiful group of glassy, highly lustrous datolite crystals over dark grey sulfide mineralization. Some of the datolite crystals are fairly transparent, and so those parts of the specimen where the datolite growth over the sulfides is thinner have a dark grey appearance. This datolite is unusually sharp and the arrangement of a good portion of […]
