Description

This is a stately grouping of three dark green elbaite crystals with snow-white albite crystals in association. The elbaite crystals are a dark olive-hued green until closer to the terminations where they are a vibrant green topped off with a thin blue cap. As is the case with many Stak Nala tourmalines, in moderate lighting these look black, and the colours are revealed with stronger side-lighting (at a particular angle the colours really come out). The terminations have an intricate pattern across them. In excellent condition – the main elbaite crystals are pristine (the lower corner of the small one on the left is incomplete where it was attached to the rock), and a couple of albite crystals are incomplete. Looks really nice from the back side as well, where there is more albite covering the elbaites. This is a beautiful display specimen of tourmaline.
