Epidote

Specimen # 200096
Mineral: Epidote
Location: Maldeen, Ras Koh Mtns., Kharan District, Balochistan, Pakistan
Size: 5.6 x 4.5 x 4.0 cm

Description

This is a great crystal of epidote! It is blocky with an unusual habit, simple and striking. It looks just like a crystal model. It is a parallel-growth crystal, often referred to as the pseudo-octahedral habit (although distinguishable from an octahedron). It is in excellent condition, no damage. Most of the specimens from this find are either damaged or incomplete where they were detached from other adjacent crystals, whereas this is a floater. Very cool epidote.
