Epidote

Specimen # 102571
Mineral: Epidote, Quartz
Location: Kharan District, Balochistan, Pakistan
Size: 4.8 x 3.5 x 3.2 cm

Description

A group of interconnecting fans of brilliant epidote crystals. These epidote crystals are as sharp and lustrous as epidote gets. The terminations of the crystals in each fan are joined together but also distinguishable from one another. In excellent condition, small peripheral contacts and incomplete spots. I hate to admit photographic defeat, but the fans are all intersecting at angles that make the reflection of light very difficult and my photos of the full specimen really don’t capture it well – hopefully the closeups are helpful. This is a gorgeous epidote!
