Mineral: | Quartz | |
Location: | Pasto Bueno District, Pallasca Province, Ancash Dept., Peru | |
Size: | 8.1 x 6.6 x 5.5 cm | |
This is an attractive quartz specimen with a bit of a twist. From one viewing angle, it is clear that the larger crystals are each surrounded by smaller ones, but if you tip the specimen up and look down the lengths of the larger crystals you can see that the smaller crystals all radiate out from the larger ones. The main crystals are all undamaged and the piece is in excellent condition - just a few smaler crystals missing from the base and at the one corner of the specimen. Really neat.
