Detailed Description

This is a wonderful specimen, unique for the find - not only is this a radiating fan of sparkling inesite crystals, but it is a full "wheat sheaf" or "bow tie".  Very three dimensional, the inesite crystals are sharp. In excellent condition - no damage, although the one tiny spot looks to me with magification to be mostly contact and perhaps a bit of a rub.  It's nsignificant in the scope of what this is, though.  This is a beautiful and remarkable inesite!

About These Inesites

In 2014 a very small pocket at the N’Chwaning II Mine produced some exquisite small specimens of inesite, very sharp and intricate, and in superb condition. I was lucky to have the first chance at these and selected out only a few specimens, the ones I judged to be the best. They are much more dramatic than many inesites - they are not just drusy, they have well-defined crystal groups.
