Detailed Description
One of two top thumbnail-sized specimens of these inesites, this is a beautiful, deeper-coloured radiating group of sparkling inesite crystals. Complete all-around, it could be displayed from either side. In excellent condition - no damage, very minor rubs that are hard to discern without magnification. A fantastic inesite!
About These Inesites
In 2014 a very small pocket at the N’Chwaning II Mine produced some exquisite small specimens of inesite, very sharp and intricate, and in superb condition. I was lucky to have the first chance at these and selected out only a few specimens, the ones I judged to be the best. They are much more dramatic than many inesites - they are not just drusy, they have well-defined crystal groups.
