Adamite

Specimen # 100011
Mineral: Adamite
Location: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
Size: 6.6 x 6.6 x 4.5 cm

Description

Beautiful deep green balls of adamite crystals (of the type that has been referred to as “cuprian adamite”). The crystals themselves are translucent and glassy, and the colour is really rich. The largest ball is 0.5cm in diameter. I acquired this great little specimen in 1989 and have always loved it.
