A dramatic specimen, featuring a large, radiating cluster of sharp, lustrous aegirine crystals on microcline feldspar crystals. In among the aegirine crystals are a few deep orange monazite crystals, the largest of which measures 0.3 cm. The piece also includes crystals of quartz and around the side there are a couple of sharp zircon crystals, to 0.5 cm. In simply amazing condition – from the display angle, there is one incomplete aegirine in the ball and there are a couple of small ones low on the left. This is a gorgeous cabinet specimen of aegirine.
