Description
This piece features incredibly sharp, glassy anglesite crystals, the largest of which is 2.7 cm. The crystals at the top of the specimen stand up over the matrix – the larger of the two is translucent and the smaller is transparent. In excellent condition as I would display it (as in these photos) with one small chip visible – from the opposite side a chipped edge of the large crystal is visible (i.e. out of view as I would display it, but could certainly be displayed this way too, as you can tell from the video). From the back, one can see more lustrous anglesite crystals intergrown with the matrix – indeed most of this piece is made up of anglesite and it has some heft for its size. This was a Crystal Classics piece – their label is included. A beautiful Tsumeb anglesite!
Please Note: the colour representation in the still photographs has been carefully calibrated and adjusted to show an accurate rendition of this specimen in daylight (shade). The colours in the video are not similarly adjusted.
