Calcite

Specimen # 101291
Mineral: Calcite
Location: Second Sovietskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Size: 6.5 x 4.8 x 4.0 cm

Description

Beautiful sharp, lustrous, colourless calcite crystals with deeply striated terminations from the Second Sovietskiy Mine. These are translucent to transparent, with great internal play of light under the lights. The large crystal is in excellent condition, with one small flake at the left side, low on the termination. The smaller crystal is in perfect condition except for a cleave at the termination – it is angled and very clean, and really looks like a termination face. This is the reason for the great price for such a nice specimen!
