Cerussite

Specimen # 100836
Mineral: Cerussite
Location: Cerussite, Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Size: 5.2 x 4.2 x 2.2 cm

Description

A specimen of classic twinned Tsumeb cerussite with a snowflake-like appearance. This reticulated cerussite is in excellent condition, which is unusual for such delicate specimens, but is the case because the cerussite is tight to the matrix – I can only see one small missing tip and a little inomplete cerussite at the right, against the matrix. The cerussite crystals are sharp and lustrous, with a myriad ot tiny bright faces flashing in the light at certain angles. Really nice piece.
