Cerussite

Specimen # 100834
Mineral: Cerussite
Location: Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Size: 4.9 x 4.5 x 2.2 cm

Description

This group of twinned cerussite crystals stands apart due to a thin layer of goethite on many of the cerussites. The goethite accentuates the crystal form of the cerussite twins, and provides contrast with a few un-coated cerussite crystals that formed after the goethite deposition. In excellent condition – no damage, minor incomplete crystals in places at the periphery. The cerussite crystal morphology on this specimen is just super.
