Chabazite

Specimen # 102026
Mineral: Chabazite
Location: Wasson's Bluff, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 9.0 x 8.0 x 2.8 cm

Description

This is a great plate of chabazite crystals with particularly good orange colour. The crystals are sharp, with good lustre, and there are penetration twins among them. It is uncommon to see these thin crystal plates extracted intact and in this condition. In excellent condition, a couple of minor nicks if you search for them, and only minor incomplete crystals and contacts around the periphery.

A really nice display piece of Canadian chabazite.
