Chabazite

Specimen # 100652
Mineral: Chabazite
Location: Wasson's Bluff, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 5.4 x 4.4 x 3.2 cm

Description

This cluster of chabazite crystals up to 1 cm stands out because of its deep colour. I’d describe it as a salmon orange but with an even deeper brownish tint than that. Small zones of golden yellow are also present. The chabazite crystals are sharp, lustrous penetration twins.  In very good condition, some damage around the periphery where it was removed from the rock. A nice splash of colour under the display lights!
