Description

A beautiful cabinet specimen featuring a large (2.1 cm) chalcopyrite crystal and many smaller crystals as well, perched on and among siderite blades, and topped off with a second generation of delicate siderite blades, some of which are arranged in rosettes. All of the chalcopyrites have high lustre. The two twinned chalcopyrites in the middle are sharp and mirror bright. The prep work on the back was done with a saw and is not visible as displayed. There is some peripheral chipping and one small chalcopyrite is broken, but none of this strikes you when you look at it on the shelf under the lights – this is an excellent display piece!
