Gmelinite

Specimen # 100637
Mineral: Gmelinite
Location: Gmelinite, Two Islands, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 4.0 x 3.3 x 3.3 cm

Description

This piece features beautiful pink twinned crystals of gmelinite to 1.1 cm. Sharp and lustrous, these crystals exhibit the classic fine triangular crystal growth patterns. In excellent condition – no damage to any of the main part of the specimen (incomplete crystals at the outer edge on the right hand side – this faces away from view as I would display it).   Excellent gmelinite specimen!

From the collection of well-known Nova Scotia collector Terry Collett, this specimen was collected on August 19, 2011.
