Gmelinite

Specimen # 101156
Mineral: Gmelinite
Location: Gmelinite, Two Islands, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 5.5 x 3.9 x 2.2 cm

Description

This plate of pink twinned crystals of gmelinite (up to 1.6 cm) was collected in 2010. The twinning is prominent on this one, and the crystals are sharp and lustrous. Small, sharp, pearly heulandites are in association. In very good condition, most crystals are pristine, the isolated crystal at the top has a chip and one section of the piece shows contact with the opposite side of vein. A pretty specimen.
