Gmelinite

Specimen # 101480
Mineral: Gmelinite
Location: Gmelinite, Two Islands, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 5.4 x 3.2 x 2.2 cm

Description

This is a super Two Islands gmelinite – a vein section with basalt contacts on each side, and the centre entirely line with sharp, glassy gmelinite crystals. These gmelinite crystals are a bit more of a peach-tone than a pink. A couple of small lustrous heulandite crystals are associated. In excellent condition, no damage. This one is a beauty.
