Description

Detailed Description

This plate of matrix is hosts sharp, lustrous, deep brown grossular crystals.

There are light-coloured needle-like inclusions within the grossulars, quite possibly of an amphibole group mineral. In very good condition (a couple of missing crystals at the periphery and with magnification one can find a few nicks).

A really nice specimen – the lustre of the crystals is great.

About These Grossular Specimens

These were found in 2016 from a new Arrondissemant Diako locality, Diabe Sira. Unlike most garnets from the region, the specimens from this find are plates of crystals on matrix – they are very attractive.
