Hematite

Specimen # 102438
Mineral: Hematite
Location: Coluna Mine, Miguel Burnier District, Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 3.4 x 2.6 x 0.9 cm

Description

A hematite rose comprised of sharp, highly lustrous crystals. The crystal surfaces are like black mirrors. The rose is complete – the uneven surface at the base is where it grew against the pyrophyllite matrix. The photos are of front and back. In excellent condition (one tiny imperfection on the front side, and a chip at the top of the back side, not visible as displayed). An eye-catching piece – top lustre!
