Description

Detailed Description

An excellent plate of hematite-rose style crystals, all clustered together edge-on.  A dusting of reddish quartz microcrystals adds some nice contrast and colour.  Good lustre and very sharp crystal forms. In excellent condition – a couple of tiny inconsequential rubs and otherwise just the incomplete crystals around the periphery where the specimen was removed from the surrounding rock. Bright, high-quality hematite specimen from this rarely-seen locality.

About these Hematites
