This is an excellent specimen – sharp lustrous hematite roses, edge-on, clustered tightly in an attractive group. Frosted sparingly with micro crystals of reddish quartz, providing a nice offset to the hematite.

About these Hematites

These fine hematite specimens were excavated from a deposit in the hills extremely close to the town of Saint-Marie-aux-Mines.
