Detailed Description

A lustrous plate of sparkling metallic hematite crystals. These hematite crystals are edge-on iron roses – sharp and bright. In excellent condition, no damage except a couple of tiny nicks you have to search to see. A few incomplete crystals at the periphery. This is a high quality piece and these are great hematite crystals.

About These Hematites

These fine hematite specimens were excavated from a deposit in the hills extremely close to the town of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. The deposit was worked in the 1970s and 1980s, and these specimens date back to those workings.
