Specimen # 200721
Mineral: Kyanite
Location: Barra do Salinas, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 11.0 x 8.0 x 5.4 cm

This is a dramatic group of beautiful blue kyanite crystals in massive quartz.

Kyanite is a rock-forming mineral, which is found enclosed in one or more other minerals. Kyanite very rarely has perfect natural terminations and the kyanite crystals comprising this specimen have typical rugged ends, not clean terminations. These crystals have nice colour and sharp, lustrous prism faces – stands perfectly for display and looks super.
