Description

Detailed Description

The lazulite crystals on this piece have super, vibrant blue colour – they are lighter and more translucent than most Rapid Creek lazulites and look fantastic under good lighting. The crystals are twinned, and they are sharp, with glassy faces. In excellent condition, the main crystals are free of damage, and there are a few missing crystals down at the lower corner. Stands perfectly for display as photographed. These are beautiful, particularly colourful, lazulite crystals!

About these Lazulites

Discovered in the 1970s, the occurrences at Rapid Creek have become known as among the best localities in the world for lazulite. These occurrences are very remote and the costs are high, so specimen collection efforts are few and far between, and it is hard to obtain fine specimens. These fine lazulites are from a find in 2015.
