Detailed Description

This good-sized plate features sharp, deep blue lazulite crystals, contrasting with water-clear quartz crystals, sparkling pale micro augelite crystals and well-formed, lustrous siderite crystals. The lazulite crystals are twinned, with great lustre. In excellent condition – no damage. This specimen was collected several years ago. A beautiful combination of these Rapid Creek minerals, showcasing the lazulite crystals.

About these Lazulites

Discovered in the 1970s, the occurrences at Rapid Creek have become known as among the best localities in the world for lazulite. These occurrences are very remote and the costs are high, so specimen collection efforts are few and far between, and it is hard to obtain fine specimens.
