Legrandite

Specimen # 102824
Mineral: Legrandite
Location: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
Size: 9.5 x 7.2 x 5.5 cm

Description

This cabinet piece hosts beautiful, sharp, lustrous legrandite crystals up to 0.7 cm. They have excellent golden colour. The main line of crystals across the middle of the specimen includes the larger crystals, and the area below (or to the left, depending on how you choose to display it) has wonderful crystal groupings that look super with a bit of magnification (just a loupe). In excellent condition, from the John Dutrizac Collection, his label accompanies the specimen. Beautiful legrandite crystals!

NB: Colour correction of this specimen’s video proved challenging – the video is great for conveying the lustre and sparkle from the legrandite crystals, but please use the photographs as your guide, as they render the colours more accurately.
