Natrolite with Analcime

Specimen # 102050
Mineral: Natrolite with Analcime
Location: Natrolite, Cape Split, Blomidon Peninsula, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 6.3 x 5.3 x 4.3 cm

Description

This specimen features a beautiful ball of natrolite crystals at the to, studded with glassy analcime crystals. There are analcime crystals all over this piece, with dark tan stilbite and some tiny pearly beige heulandite crystals as well. The natrolite crystals are sharp, with lustrous pyramidal terminations that sparkle in the light. The natrolite and analcime are in excellent condition, and there’s one incomplete group of stilbite, lower on the piece. Stands perfectly for display as photographed –  a really nice, aesthetically balanced specimen.
