Prehnite

Specimen # 102557
Mineral: Prehnite
Location: Taza, Fès-Meknès, Morocco
Size: 14.5 x 9.0 x 8.2 cm

Description

An impressive large cabinet specimen featuring two main balls of radiating prehnite crystals and a few quartz crystals in association. The prehnite crystals are light green, sharp and lustrous. In excellent condition, no damage, some minor incomplete crystals around the outer periphery of the smaller clustered crystals at left (first photo)/lower (last photo) where it was attached. This piece displays nicely in one of two orientations as the first two photos show. To stand as in the last photo, it needs some support but not much if displayed on a lower shelf and allowed to lean back (it’ll stand on its own, but just!).

This is a super display piece – the largest prehnite ball is very 3-D!
