About These Quartz Specimens from McKay Head

The cliffs of McKay Head are east along the Bay of Fundy shore from Wasson’s Bluff. The locality has long been known among collectors for vugs lined with milky quartz crystals and rarely analcime. However a series of pockets collected during 2020-2022 produced beautiful Quartz groups of a different style – balls and “pineapples”, comprised of lustrous little crystals ranging from colourless to faintly amethystine. This specimen is from that series of pockets.
