Description
A cluster of sharp, glassy, transparent quartz crystals of unusual morphology from the John S. White quartz collection (#19-2-12). This is a very 3-D specimen, so the video really helps to show what it’s like. These crystals feature disproportionately-large pyramidal faces, and relatively smaller prism faces so as to appear blocky and/or tabular. In the case of the crystal on the right (my favourite on the piece) at first glance it almost looks more like a tabular baryte, because it is so dominated by two large pyramidal faces on either side of the crystal. In excellent condition, tiny chips. Such a great piece!
