Detailed Description

A beautiful plate of ankerite crystals, with a slender, pristine water-clear quartz crystal in the centre. The back of the quartz crystal is covered with rhombohedral crystals of ankerite and docdecahedral pyrite crystals. In excellent condition – a gorgeous piece.


About These Specimens from the Mésage Mine

The Mésage Mine was originally explored in the early-nineteenth century for iron, and the underground workings have been abandoned since the late-nineteenth century. French collector Grégoire de Bodinat recently collected these beautiful specimens at the Mésage Mine.
