Quartz (Faden)

Specimen # 201021
Mineral: Quartz (Faden)
Location: North Waziristan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Size: 10.9 x 4.0. x 3.3 cm

Description

The quartz crystals on this faden quartz specimen formed along two major separate faden lines, so the piece is essentially made up of two faden quartz growths, with some smaller quartz crystals in the middle that follow a third small faden line. The crystals are sharp and lustrous. In excellent condition, no damage except right near the base on the backside as displayed, a small incomplete spot. A fine multiple-faden specimen from the John White collection.
