Specimen # 100374
Mineral: Quartz, Var. Amethyst
Location: Piedra Parada, Mun de Tatatila, Veracruz, Mexico
Size: 8.8 x 5.5 x 4.9 cm

Description

This is a beautiful pair of pale lilac amethyst crystals, so distinctive, amazing this is naturally occurring like this. The crystal on the right is a sceptred crystal, and the one on the left is doubly terminated and reverse-sceptre (this longer one measures 5.6 cm). They stand perfectly on the matrix at the base, which stands on its own, as photographed. The crystals are in excellent condition – there is a small nick to the back of the tip of the left-hand side one, not seen as displayed and not relevant to the piece. This specimen looks amazing in the display case – you are drawn to the case to see it!
