Quartz var. Chalcedony

Specimen # 102845
Mineral: Quartz var. Chalcedony
Location: Estacion Trancas, Chihuahua, Mexico
Size: 5.3 x 4.4 x 4.4 cm

From the John S. White quartz collection (#14-2-2), this is an excellent chalcedony geode. Fully translucent, with a couple of quartz crystals inside (visible through a hollow in the back/underside). Fluorescent under UV light.  And if I didn’t know better, I’d say this one is sticking its tongue out at us!
