Description
This is a wonderful rutile star. The star itself has rutile crystals oriented in each of the six 60-degree directions, epitactic on the central hematite crystal. The rutile crystals are not the fuzzy-hairy type from Novo Horizonte, but the more robust and substantial ones. The hematite crystal exhibits intricate triangular crystallization patterns. In excellent condition – a super specimen of rutile on hematite.
