Location: Laila Peak, Haramosh Range, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

Description

The tourmaline crystals from this find are known as the “bullet tourmalines”, for obvious reasons. This is a wonderful specimen – completely crystallized all around, with minor frostings of adularia and with small adularia crystals covering the bottom surface. The crystal is sharp and lustrous. In virtually perfect condition, very minute edge chips can be found with magnification, but you really have to seek them out. This is a gorgeous schorl tourmaline.
