Spessartine Garnet

Specimen # 201009
Mineral: Spessartine Garnet
Location: Shigar Valley, Shigar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Size: 4.2 x 3.4 x 2.5 cm

Description

If you could dream up any Pakistan spessartine in this size range, it would be hard to do any better than this specimen. The central trapezohedral crystal is superb – sharp, lustrous, textbook form, internal red colour under the lights. The white albite crystals provide the perfect background. In excellent condition, no damage. This spessartine is a jewel, perched up on the albite – a wonderful specimen!
