Thomsonite

Specimen # 102605
Mineral: Thomsonite
Location: Cap D'Or, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 4.8 x 3.1 x 3.1 cm

Description

A “snowman” of thomsonite! Two balls of thomsonite crystals stacked together. With magnification, one can see countless small bladed thomsonite crystals, and although the balls are comprised of radiating crystals, the surface (particularly of the larger ball) has thomsonite blades in various directions, not uniformly radiating from a centre. These are thomsonite-Ca.

In excellent condition. This specimen is from the small 2020 find of great Nova Scotia thomsonite.
