Thomsonite

Specimen # 102609
Mineral: Thomsonite
Location: Cap D'Or, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 4.2 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm

Description

A “dumbbell” of thomsonite crystal balls, with stilbite. These balls are radiating clusters of bladed thomsonite crystals (thomsonite-Ca), and this particular specimen has good sparkle. In good condition with a bit of contacting (mostly the left/lower ball, depending on how you chose to orient it for display), where the thomsonites were up against other pocket contents.

From the small 2020 find, a really nice, aesthetic and distinctive Nova Scotia thomsonite.
