Description

This is a cavernous specimen, hosting a multitude of sharp, spear-shaped dark golden-yellow wulfenite crystals. The main cavity is open straight through to the back of the piece, and small offshoot cavities also allow light in from behind. The wulfenite crystals are sharp with good lustre, and are accompanied by little balls of light green mimetite microcrystals. In excellent condition – minor missing crystals around the cavity periphery and the odd missing tip visible with magnification. In general the cavities have protected the wulfenites.

This specimen is substantial – it weighs over one pound (quite something, for its size).

A dramatic display piece – sits nicely and looks great!
