This specimen from the Pete Richards collection hosts small clusters of sharp cogwheel-twinned bournonite crystals, along with sphalerite and quartz crystals. The bournonite cogwheels are beautifully developed and the largest cluster of crystals measures 0.8 cm across. The sphalerite crystals complex mounds. Adding interest, some of the quartz crystals are reverse-sceptre habit. In excellent condition. The bournonites are beautiful with a bit of magnification, such as a loupe – a neat piece from this famous old Romanian mining complex.
