Detailed Description

This is a wonderful specimen of water-clear golden selenite crystals together with a cubic crystal of halite. The selenite crystals are like yellow glass, with bright lustre. They are beautifully twinned. The halite crystal is a great association – it’s not complete, but it’s uncommon to find one this good! The selenite crystals are pristine save for a small spot at one edge. They fluoresce light yellow under ultraviolet light (fifth photo) and exhibit phosphorescence. A gorgeous piece!
