Schorl Tourmaline

Specimen # 200486
Mineral: Schorl Tourmaline
Location: Larrivee Prospect, Buckfield, Oxford Co., Maine, USA
Size: 2.1 x 1.3 x 1.2 cm

Description

A sharp, highly lustrous black tourmaline crystal. This crystal is a beauty, and under bright light one can actually see tiny brown internal glints in a couple of places. In excellent condition from the front, main viewing angle – incomplete at the back/left depending on angle – displays very well with that out of view. From the Pete Richards collection, acquired in April 1999. A very fine schorl specimen.
