Description

This is an interesting specimen – the main quartz crystal has inclusions of hair-like byssolite crystals, small doubly-terminated epidote crystals and one epidote crystal fan. Incomplete epidote fans around the periphery are also partly included in the quartz crystal. The quartz crystal is actually doubly terminated, although it also has some contact faces underneath as well. Judging from the recrystallization patterns on the contacts, it seems this happened before the end of the crystallization event. The quartz is in excellent condition from the display angle – around each side there is chipping and a contact on the right. This is a great inclusion specimen!
