Description
An elegant midnight blue crystal of Tsumeb azurite, with great sharpness and lustre. Although it appears almost black at first glance, it is an amazing blue- when directly backlit with an LED lamp, the top half of the crystal is like clear deep blue glass. In excellent condition, tiny edge chips are visible with magnification. The rough surface in spots in the lower half of the crystal (mostly on the back) relates to environmental interference with the growth of the crystal, not damage. From the Pete Richards Collection, #2813, this is a gorgeous thumbnail of azurite from Tsumeb!
