Of this lot from Kaiwu, this is the specimen with the largest fine chalcopyrite crystals – it is almost a floater, with only small points of attachment. The chalcopyrite crystals are sharp, lustrous, and top quality – no damage. They are adorned with intergrown rosettes of pale brown, delicate siderite crystals. There are two small […]

Beautiful cabinet specimen of chalcopyrite crystals perched on and nestled between bladed crystals of siderite. The chalcopyrite crystals are all sharp, brassy and bright, and measure up to 1.5 cm. There are numerous small tennantite crystals on the piece, the largest of which is 2 mm. The piece is in excellent condition – absolutely no […]

This is an attractive quartz specimen with a bit of a twist. From one viewing angle, it is clear that the larger crystals are each surrounded by smaller ones, but if you tip the specimen up and look down the lengths of the larger crystals you can see that the smaller crystals all radiate out […]

Brilliant, lustrous crystals of pearceite with chalcopyrite. The main pearceite crystals (up to 7 mm across) are protected in recesses on the piece – they are in perfect condition. An excellent specimen of pearceite.

Amazing group of sharp, bright, lustrous clear quartz crystals. This is in top condition for one of these, but, not surprising, this piece is not perfect – there are small crystals missing in a few spots. However, they are gone from the base, not broken off at the tips, and so this does not detract […]

Beautiful cabinet specimen featuring many excellent sharp black hubnerite crystals on clear sparkling needle quartz crystals. The hubnerites are all pristine – the tallest of them is 2.1 cm in height. The quartz crystals have an elegant taper to them, and the tall one on the left is in perfect condition, as are most of […]

Group of beautiful slender quartz crystals from Mundo Nuevo. The crystal morphology on these crystals is very distinctive – instead of the usual six faces at the termination, there are three. The crystals are clear and lustrous and the small needle quartz adds further sparkle. The main crystals are all in super shape – the […]

This cabinet specimen is a sparkling forest of bright, clear needle quartz crystals hosting hubnerite crystals. The specimen is a complete floater and the underside (as I would display it) is actually home to aggregates of fluorite crystals (octahedral, with cube face modifications). The quartz crystals are beautiful – I can find two chips out […]

These are beautiful, sharp crystals of hubnerite on brilliant, clear needle quartz crystals from Mundo Nuevo. The hubnerite crystals are a little different from most of the Mundo Nuevo hubnerites from these finds – typically the crystals tended to be a little blockier and simpler in morphology. These ones are slender, with excellent fine modification […]

A spectacular light green prehnite with individual well-defined crystals radiating out from a central point. The crystals are sharp, lustrous and have exceptional separation from one another. In excellent condition – other than at the outer periphery where this was attached, there is only one incomplete crystal low on the specimen and in a recess […]

Superb fans of lustrous divergent epidote crystals, intergrown in a beautiful grouping. The fans themselves radiate out in different directions. The epidote is as lustrous as it gets – beautiful sharp crystals! In excellent condition. I have to admit near-defeat trying to convey this specimen in still photos – it ranks as one of the […]

A group of interconnecting fans of brilliant epidote crystals. These epidote crystals are as sharp and lustrous as epidote gets. The terminations of the crystals in each fan are joined together but also distinguishable from one another. In excellent condition, small peripheral contacts and incomplete spots. I hate to admit photographic defeat, but the fans […]
